Have you heard of a new drug known as Cabozantinib? It is a newly developed anti-cancer medication that has been found effective in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma. It is being introduced to the public and can be purchased online without a prescription. Read on and know more about this amazing new therapy.
What is Cabozantinib? It is a novel anti-carcinogen that acts directly on the very cells that are responsible for malignant transformation in renal cell carcinoma. These cells carry on the cancerous DNA (damage control DNA). This DNA is like a blueprint for making new cancer cells. The question then becomes how does Cabozantinib kill these cancer cells?
There are two ways that cabozantinib kills cancer cells. First, it inhibits the enzyme citrate lyase. This is a drug-protein complex that is active in the kidneys and its job is to catalyze the entrance of the fluid called interstitial fluid into the cyst form. Once inside the cyst, the fluid starts to fester. Interstitial fluid contains glucose and other nutrients that nourish the cancer cells. So the first step is to starve the cells.
The second way cabozantinib acts directly on the cancerous cells is by shutting down their access to neurotransmitters like glutamate and aspartate. These neurotransmitters are involved in the communication between nerves. By making them inaccessible, cabozantinib stops the process that transmits information from one nerve cell to another. As a result, the messages go dead. With no information to guide the cells, they die.
If this sounds familiar, it is because this cancer has similar symptoms as other forms of this disease. The most common symptom is persistent urination. Since it is impossible for the body to eliminate all of the uric acid produced, some of it gets reabsorbed into the blood. This is why people who have had dialysis or kidney transplants need to take cabozantinib every day for life.
Unlike many other types of cancer treatments, cabozantinib has shown signs of effectiveness in clinical trials. While it has not yet been approved by the FDA, there are already thousands of people taking it to treat renal cell carcinoma. Because of its potential to treat a wide variety of diseases, there is no doubt that cabozantinib will soon be available as an over-the-counter treatment.
Like all antineoplastics, cabozantinib has effects. However, since it only affects the acid leakage caused by tumor cells, the effects may actually be beneficial to patients. Some of the possible effects include diarrhea, stomach pain and vomiting, mild fever, joint pain and swelling, increased cholesterol levels and changes in blood pressure.
Of course, these effects can also be harmful, especially if they interfere with the kidney’s proper functioning. For this reason, it is important that anyone who is planning on starting a treatment plan should consult his or her doctor first. By doing so, the doctor can choose the right medication for the intended patient, even if it means having to modify the recommended treatment plan.
