'HIV The Comeback Tour', phase 2, has been launched in the Lothians. The initiative has been launched by several organisations in the Lothians, including Healthy Gay Scotland. 1 in 25 gay and bisexual men in the Lothians is infected with HIV, and many do not know it! It empahises the very real benefits of testing for HIV, and going for regular sexual health checks It also puts across the message that condoms are the best protection we have against HIV. Gay and bisexual men are the largest group affected by HIV, so check it out at. 'HIV The Comeback Tour

Healthy Gay Scotland and other Scottish HIV services organisations have launched a new resource to support gay and bi men in Scotland living with HIV. Connected Scotland resource comprises a paper based pack given out at the clinics, as well as a comprehensive website. The first website in the world dedicated to gay and bi men living with HIV it includes information for the men as well as information for partners, friends and family. Cocktales 4 is the latest edition in this poular series. The 4th issue sees Liam and Bilal deal with the issue of civil relationships, and asks, “who are they for, anyway?” Sexually Transmitted Infections are on screen being evicted from the “Bug Bother,” House and a two new characters Adam and Jeremy deal with the issue of homophobia in school head on. VITAL STATISTICS 2007

VITAL STATISTICS has run every year since 1997 and is the largest survey in
the world about sex between men. Last year it recruited almost 20,000 men
including over 15,000 via the internet. The survey is conducted in
partnership with 150 HIV health promotion agencies and helps them plan and

SIGMA Research

Sigma Research www.sigmaresearch.org.uk is a social research group that have undertaken more than fifty research and development projects concerned with the impact of HIV and AIDS on the sexual and social lives of a variety of populations.
